Help Menu urls no longer work

Hi I recently did a windows repair to deal with something non ArchiCAD related, and everything seems to work fine .. except that the links installed by default in the ArchiCAD help menu to things like this forum, or to PDF guides etc. no linger do anything when clicked.

Presumably some kind of registry corruption.?

How can I repair the requisite registry entries without reinstalling ArchiCAD?

The links are just URL's in the folder WWWLinks inside your ArchiCAD program folder.

If they won't open, then presumably no links will open? Go to that folder and double-click one of the URL files. Does your browser open? If not, it could be something like your system default browser is corrupted. Make an alternate browser your default and try again. Etc...

You can put any links you want into that WWWLinks folder ... as well as purge any that you find useless.

Cheers,
Karl

Thanks Karl.

I checked that folder, and the links within it to web addresses are all there, and all work using default browser when clicked on, even though they don't when clicked within ArchiCAD.

The PDF help files are all present in the ArchiCAD program/documentation directory , and though the links to them that normally appear under the help menu still show, they no longer work.

As if the drop down menu links are damaged, rather than the files linked to.

I tried removing & restoring the help menu via the work environment dialogue, but no improvement.

OK - for the benefit of anyone else experiencing this, the solution was to re-patch ArchiCAD with latest update, (even though already patched) - seems to have regenerated whatever was broken.
