Ac23, file size 56mb

70k polygon count.
Imported object (vine/plant) causing significant slowdown in plan view.
Can anybody explain why this happens ?
PC useage isn't even using 10% of the cpu, ram or even gpu.

Usually it's one of these possibilities:
1. The vine was made with an enormous number or vertices (hence an enormous number of polycount), and therefore it have a significant impact on your whole model.
2. There is a hidden error that was generated when the vine model was imported to your project, leading ArchiCAD to try to solve/bypass that error.
A good friend of mine have once told me that I´m so brute that I´m capable of creating a GDL script capable of creating GDLs.

Hi,

Thank you for your question and I am sorry about the experience!

I believe, as Moonlight suggested, the vine object generated large number of polygons, therefore, it may significantly slow the project down. If you need to have a more thorough investigation, would it be possible for you to share the object for a closer look? Let me know here in the thread or by Private Message if you need a secure link to forward the file!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Best regards,
Minh
