There is a dimension to this issue that I believe that you are missing. Most of the BIM software applications are subscription based. What can we do if what ever project we have to present (basically to the government) can only be done in BIM?

I suspect that power users will not buy a GPU unless they really need it, and therefore power consumption would not be an issue, unless those who buy a 4090 to play Minecraft
