MACPRO LATE 2013 AMD DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 10x64

Hi, I have a serious problem while working in Archicad 19 for Windows 10 x64.
Suddenly I get a message from AMD "“Display driver stopped responding and has recovered” and Archicad is not responding anymore and needs to close.

Generally this particular driver has a lot of problems but I did eliminated them by disabling "CrossFireX" in settings.

(I also work on the same project on an iMac 27" Late 2013 which has an NVIDIA Graphics Card 4GB and it has no problems at all.)

Could you clarify your question? It sounds like you are running Windows 10 x64 using Bootcamp on your Mac Pro? What is the base OS X version of your Mac Pro (since Bootcamp drivers depend upon this)? I would imagine that very few people here run AC via Bootcamp - so this AMD driver issue might be better asked on the Apple forums.

Presumably there is some reason you are not running the Mac version of AC 19. If you cannot find a stable Bootcamp driver for Win10/64, then you can look at using Parallels Desktop to run Win10/64. Not full native hardware performance, but at least you'd be able to run the Windows version of AC 19 since that seems to be what you want to do.

Yes, that's correct I'm running Windows 10x64 on my Mac Pro.
I have the latest update of El Capitan 10.11.5.
I use Archicad on Windows because I'm a Structural Engineer and unfortunately there isn't any software for us on the Mac platform.

I tried to communicate Apple through their re-seller here in Cyprus but no luck. They told me that I had to take my computer for service but I didn't want to because I knew it was only driver issue.

Also I contacted AMD which they gave me some guidelines on how to install the driver properly. It was working with some problems until they sent us the newest driver from Apple, which caused problems.
If both of graphics cards are active then computer freezes on start and needs to shut down, so I had to disable the second card.

In Apple forums I got only views for this matter but not a solution.

Today I bought Parallels desktop 11 as you said, but I'll wait for a couple of days to see how it will go before turning to Parallels.
For a start I disabled "Background updating" in Archicad.

So, your structural software is Windows-only... but not really any reason to run AC in Windows. If you install Parallels, run your structural and other Windows-only software there - and run ArchiCAD as a native Mac app. You can share Mac folders with your Parallels Win 10 virtual machine to access data from either Mac or Windows apps and have the best of both worlds.

That's how I work - Archicad on the Mac with structural engineering in Windows (7x64) via Parallels. No problems at all.
