Mac Power Book Pro won't install Archicad 10?

I just got a new mac power book pro and need to install archicad 10, after inserting the program disc and waiting indefinitely, nothing happens, it appears as though the computer is thinking& thinking & thinking. could it be that the computer i purchased only has 512 MB of memory or should that not hold me up when initially installing. what else might it be???

I might have to install AC9 on it just to check that out.... Is it every file or just once in a while?

Spent the day with Apple.
Trashed the preference folder, started applications all is good until loading AC9 or PM . The moment these are loaded the screen capture or print to pdf or downloads stop appearing on the desktop. They could be seen with a desktop alias in the doc or by searching them an then they appear.

Apple does not believe is a system issue because nothing else could provoke this, they believes that AC PM must have some programming issue that only shows up running rosetta but was wrong all along.

I have zerod out all data on the HD and reformated
Reinstalled software
Archicad9 and PM creates the same problem after an our or so. Items saved downloaded to desktop do not show up. CDs inserted do not show up.

I have run Apple Hardware Test Extended Test in Loop Mode 40 times with no problem.

So the MakbookPro is ok.

Has any of you run AC9 on a MakbookPro

hi adalbert

i just launched AC9 to check this out: i have no problems whatsoever. unless i'm misunderstanding you . . .

in AC9 i made a screen capture straight to my desktop: it was there immediately. next i opened a plotmaker layout book and Print...>Save As PDF> to the desktop. again no problem. both files show on the desktop, in any finder window and archiCAD's 'Open...' dialogue . . .

is that what you mean?

Yes it works but only for a time. After 1 hour or so the mentioned problem starts.
