I am using my Pen Mouse with no tablet at the moment and I like it allot. It took a few days to get used to it and with the right mouse settings it is working very well. I sill need to try it out with ArchiCAD a bit more till I am fully satisfied that I don't need a tablet at all.
The expense of buying a pen display tablet is not much different to buying a PC tablet for on site measurements and taking that back into the office and using it for a digital pen input device, especially as most models have wacom digital pen software on board.
So having the wacom intuous pen input with no pen display would be very well worth it, esp if you get good accuracy and good results here as Rod and Miguel are getting with theirs. As they are both experienced users I might give it a go as well or at least test it out with ArchiCAD.
I should point out that the use of the pen is not for everyone. I have seen a success rate of about 25%. One thing you have to do is to commit yourself to it in the first couple of weeks.
After that, you find out that the pen is mightier than the rat
I just bought a cintiq copanion. Everything is perfect. The only problem I have is that I can't work right with multiple elements. I asigned tab on the left key of the rocker ring and because of the slight movement of the cursor the it selects always the first object. Does anybody knows how I can tune this?
