Plotters not specified in plotmaker

Can one use a plotter with plotmaker, that is not part of the predetermined manufactures?
eg Canon W3000.
Will it allow for plots or will it only be restricted to the Print?

I would check the plotter's compatibility list - I have not checked lately, but there used to be a Readme for plotter users, that outlined the compatible drivers for non-standard plotters.

Why is it that you don't like PRINT? Technically, printing is what we all do since the demise of the pen plotters ...
