Programs freezing during copying to clipboard

I have a trouble with my computer. Anyone does have the same problem?
When copying something to the clipboard, ArchiCAD gets freezing until I copy another thing from any other opened program to the clipboard. Than switching back to ArchiCAD everything is fine. I can use copy/paste from ArchiCAD again. BUT: the program gets freezing after every SECOUND copy command. Interesting... I have to restart ArchiCAD to avoid the bug.
Inside of ArchiCAD in the Story setting dialog I can copy and paste everything without any trouble, it means that the problem is between ArchiCAD and Windows or the graphic card. It is independent of the size of copied items, the same happens even in case of a single line.
The problem occurs at: AC 8.0/8.1/9.0 with Win XP, Matrox G 550 and NVidia GeForce4 MX 460. (Two different PCs.) Sometimes the same thing happens in other programs as well.
I contacted my ArchiCAD distributor and Microsoft Helpdesk but they couldn't help me.
I downloaded the latest drivers, even a modified one, suggested in this forum but nothing changed. It is really annoying...
Does anyone have the same problem?

Well, THX Jeff for your advice, since I have uninstalled the NVidia desktop manager, ArchiCAD is much more stable, however it still gets frozen sometimes at copying. I hope this bug will be fixed some time.

Good to hear you're running better. Do you still have QuickTime installed and running in your startup programs? Often when you view a QuickTime file it will attempt to install itself in the startup registry, as previously mentioned so do a lot of other programs, and in my experience, perhaps with just certain Nvidia card-driver combinations along with QuickTime it would hang up ArchiCAD. Blocking it via the MSConfig>Startup registry works pretty well and the, see attachment, [also aforementioned] micro$oft free spyware has a very simple to use registry editor which always blocks any programs you select. These registry editors don't keep the programs from running on demand, just from running all the time. Just the way you want them to run.

All I know is I was about to go CRAZY and this no longer an issue, at all, since I made these simple changes.

Lastly, not knowing just how large Budapest is I'd try "visiting" GS headquarters, since you're right there. But that's just me.....

I am not sure that the conclusion that this is a Nvidia problem, because I intermittently encounter the problem on a PC using an ATI card!!

Well, I went to the page of this 'M$ Antispyware' and it saids:

I'm using the Hungarian version. Anyway I unchecked Quicktime startup. let's see if it helps...

PS.: Graphisoft headquarter, there is no technical support, only at the Software distributors. And they are fed up with my phone calls... I decided to write a large report about all the bugs and missing functions I know. I'll send it to them as soon as I'm ready (I've been writing it for four years...)

Bummer on the Micro$oft antispyware!!

As far as the HQ guys, "complaining" may not be the proper tack. Find their favorite watering hole, approach these ArchiCAD gurus and ply them with your engaging personality, expressing your keen desire to learn all the subtleties of the software, and of course, the beverages of their choice! Don't get angry, get creative............easy to say, but they're right there in town!!
