Pain...
I'm using a tool called Data Rescue 3 by Prosoft Engineering to scavenge a failed hard drive for valued files, including those of our BIM Server. When working with an extra-damaged drive, Data Rescue needs to have knowledge of the file types in order to recover them. It comes out of the box with many known file types. You can "teach" it about other files types by feeding it 5 uncorrupted examples. The product literature claims knowledge of ArchiCAD pln files.
Question:
- Has anyone used Data Rescue on ArchiCAD files? How about ArchiCAD BIM Server files?
