Scroll zoom function not working on MAC

A colleague in my office working on a MAC has been plagued by not being able to zoom in and out of the plan with the scroll button on the mouse.

The button works in the navigator, and in other programs, so i think it is something in AC10's environment.

After restarting AC, it comes back on. This is not a one time thing.

Anyone else had this dilemma? Know a solution?

Thanks.

I have had an occasional problem with my cordless Mighty Mouse (I don't recall it happening with the corded one but I rarely use it now). It doesn't stop altogether but instead will only zoom out. The only fix I've found is to restart ArchiCAD. It has been rare enough for me that it hasn't been a problem. Is it happening to you frequently?

I know this doesn't answer your question... but it's a function of OS 10.4 that I found by mistake (a book was resting on the keyboard).

In any program, hold the control key and roll the scrool wheel.

Does it zoom?

The ctrl+scroll zoom is indeed a function of the OSX. I found it by mistake myself a couple of months ago.

In my opinion not that useful though.

This also happens to me, quite frequently when working in a teamwork file. The scroll button is working then stops when I switch to a different view. In the navigator the scrolling works, but not in the views. I have to close archicad and start it up again. PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone know a fix?????????

There is sometimes a setting in the mouse preferences for third-party mice that toggles the scrolling functionality from up-down to left-right when the mouse scroll button is pressed. In AC, when the toggle is up-down, you can zoom...when the toggle is left-right, nothing happens and it appears that zooming is broken. If it's being pressed inadvertantly, it can lead to apparently bizarre behavior. Restarting the application resets the function.

I don't have a Mighty Mouse, but check your System Prefs to see if there's a place to adjust the setting I desciribed.

Hi guys, I'm also having this problem but I'm working on a PC and it's working but the screen keeps jumping back to 73% zoom. I can't figure this out at all.

What Archicad version is this - 22?

Someone else seems to be having a similar problem.

Hi Barry, yes it’s version 22.
I close the program and restarted and it did fix it but it’s not conducive to workflow.
