I worked on an 800 Tibook for about a year, then got one of the dual 2's last fall. Recently it died... a bad motherboard. Last week I went back to the 800 G4 and it is a pretty amazing difference in usability.... a real slow down in work. I do open different files many times each day, as well as plot at the same time as I am working, and it is hard to get used to going back. So, if you have a choice, opt for the dual G5, it can make a substantial difference in how you work, more so than in any upgrade I have ever made (since AC4.5).
