Strange Diagonal Lines in Artlantis Renderer

I have been having problems in Artlantis Renderer 4.5.5 lately: Models imported from ArchiCad 8.1.0 v2 (Int 2284) started showing various diagonal lines on wall surfaces when in Cast Shadows mode either in the Options or Render menus. I suspect this happened after upgrading to Mac OSX 10.3.5 although I am not sure. Older ArchiCad models drawn in OSX 10.3.3 dont display this strange behavior.

The only time I have noticed 'serious' triangulation issues in ArtLantis is when the 'smoothness' settings are turned right up (or down).

Try adjusting these (when you open the model).
