Two separate hard drives on two computers?

I have a setup on both my MACs that have a separate volume for files and programs.
My files (both .pln:s and library files) are stored on the secondary drive/partitition
My MacPro has a secondary drive attached to it (USB3)
My LapTop MacBookPro has the 1 TB drive partitioned into two
Both the partition and the attached drive have the same name
so the path to all files are the same regardless of which machine I use
I use Dropbox to sync all files between them and that works perfectly
My dropbox location is the same on both machines
When I start Archicad and open a project on one machine it's ok BUT if I open the same project on the other machine it cannot find the library that are located on the secondary drive although the paths are identical.
I have to remove the libraries that are missing and load the project then add the library again from the location on the machine (same path).
If I don't remove them first and just add them directly when prompted to add missing library it will load but then show them as missing after starting the project.
My question is: Does ArchiCad use some other info to locate the librarys when starting a project? drive-GUIDs or similar?
How can I fix this issue?
Sincerely,
Dominicus

To correct the factor of error experienced with working on 2 separate project files I simply installed Archicad, my libraries (Archicad and custom) and my project files on a 256gig portable SSD that I carry with me. Not only is it blazingly fast but I now only use synchronization for backup on each file. An additional advantage to using "Allway Sync 'n' Go" to sync my backups is that I set it up so it archives deleted and changed files just in case something goes missing or one of my clients questions previous editions of the projects.

Linked files should work and that is why I would like to know how this can be achieved.
Thanks

I have the same issue: separate physical drive on desktop machine, partitioned drive on laptop, volumes with identical names. I think the file path is always traced back to the physical drive, thus the difference between a physical volume and a partitioned volume. I reported this as bug # 171908 if someone from Graphisoft wishes to chime in. Earlier versions of AC do not have this issue, so there may have been a change in how file paths are stored.

I will file a bug report also and see if we get something on a hotfix sometimes in the future.
Thanks,

Please check if the library manager picks up a relative path or an absolute path. It could be different on each machine. Are the two macs on the same OS, same ArchiCAD build?
One path could be
/Applications/GRAPHISOFT and the other
/Macintosh HD/Applications/GRAPHISOFT

No, the path is EXACTLY the same on both machines
My secondary drive is named Projektfiler on both machines
The path to my AC library is the same on both machines
/Projektfiler/AC_kirjastot/xxx
So they are identical
Only difference is that
on my laptop machine the secondary SSD drive is a partitition on the 1TB drive
(HD + Projektfiler)
on my MacPro the secondary drive is an attached USB3 drive with the same name Projektfiler
The path is the same for both machines to this Projektfiler drive
If I look thru a terminal both volumes are mapped in /Volumes/Projektfiler (UNIX path)

Attached is image with file paths for both machines (same OS and AC build) when libraries have been located and when they are missing (see following post). In reply to bug #171908 I was told "ArchiCAD always search libraries with the full path (to hard drive). If the path of the library begins with system volume, ''/Volumes/Macintosh HD/" is not displayed in Library Manager." Thanks for looking into this issue.
