Very slow Copy/Cut in AC10

Hi,
I'm wondering why when selecting even simple lines or even a line, and choose the copy command, it takes forever to process before the arrow appears back to be able to perform a paste action. Then the paste is as fast as before with AC9
I do have a G4 but in AC9 the cut and copy work very fast even with very complex info.
Anything I can do other than buy a new machine?

We now have your problem when we paste in AC10, today I had take the time: 14 seconds waiting everytime.

I think the situation is worse everyday. And it's not a matter of old hardware: I have the fastest Mac available now.
