3D Hotspots in the wrong place

I have a recurring problem with 3D hotspots. As you can hopefully see in the attached image, the hotspots are above their object - why does this happen?

It always seems to happen when I edit the script of an object I've created using 'save 3D model to gdl', but I can't seem to work out what it is I'm doing to move the hotspots.

Any ideas?

Tom,
It may be that you have left the zzyzx parameter at it's default value.
Try setting zzyzx to zero.

Thanks Peter,

Your suggestion sort of worked - it squished the 3D hotspots so they now sit on top of the object.

I think the real answer is I should learn some more GDL and do it the proper way.

Tom,
I assumed that you intentionally made the the origin of your
ladder object be at the top but you seem to be saying that
you want the origin at the bottom. To do that with auto-scripting
you need to build the object with its bottom at project zero or
in the script of the object that you have put at the beginning of
the 3D script a transformation "addz (the height of the ladder)"
