Hi everyone,
I'm a bit rusty with Archicad, and I'm encountering an issue that I hope has a simple fix.
-
Saved View Not Showing on Layout:
- I created a saved view, but when I place it on a layout, it doesn’t display anything.
- I noticed the dimensions of the saved view are set to zero, and when I try to change them, they revert to zero again. Could this be why the view isn’t appearing on the layout?
-
Ground Floor View Problem:
- My ground floor view shows perfectly fine on one layout page. However, when I try to drag it onto a different page, it doesn’t display.
- This makes me wonder if there’s an issue with my ground floor view itself.
Has anyone encountered these issues before, and could you suggest what might be going wrong? Any tips or steps to troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

What happens if you change the Crop to Frame setting to Fit? Does the View display properly when you open it?

So, I decided to recover the file, which I hadn’t done previously, and to my surprise, an empty box appeared where the saved view should have been. This was obviously what I needed! I expanded the edges of the box and brought the view back to the center, and that turned out to be the fix. I initially thought the crashes meant the file wasn’t working or responding, but I was just too quick to give up and worried about messing it up further. So thankyou 🙂

If you set the View to use the Internal Origin, the View will not move if you add something that changes it's extents.
