AC11: IE Marker

I'd just like to verify something before I embark on another GDL adventure...

It doesn't look like the Marker I want (see attached) is possible with the provided IE Markers in AC11 -- true? Typically, we will want to have one common Marker for each IE group, the Drawing ID being inherited from "The first placed drawing of the viewpoint" (all elevations of a room treated as a single drawing).

With the "One common Marker..." selected, the choices are limited to "Outer Text" and "Inner Text"; only with "Individually..." selected do you have the choice of "First Row Text" and "Second Row Text" (I do realize these are two different Marker objects). Am I missing a setting somewhere, or am I going to have to create my own Marker???

Is it possible to reference a marker to a previously placed marker?

The "Browse" button ("Create a new IE Viewpoint with Marker reference to: the Viewpoint") is grayed out.

I've got similar rooms I want keyed to the same view on the layouts.
Thanks

You mean reference a Marker to an already created viewpoint or view or placed drawing?
I think if you place the Marker as a Linked Marker then you can choose which viewpoint/view/drawing to link it to.
I believe that you can link a Section Marker only to Section viewpoints, etc.

A view place on a drawing.

The option to "Browse" is unavailable, wether I choose "the viewpoint" or "the 1st placed drawing of the viewpoint".

I can't seem to redefine the Marker Reference, as the attached suggests. Is it a bug?

Read one of Tom's posts earlier in this thread -- for some reason, GS didn't feel it necessary to include this feature in the IE Marker. We've created an Elevation Maker, whos symbol matches that of the IE Marker, to fulfill this need.

But they did feel it necessary to include the "button" and the documentation.

hi all,

i'm trying to tweak (crop) the display of layout numbers in drawing markers which now all share a common 'Marker Link Parameters' macro object.

I'm posting here linking to my question as the parameters used to generate the Drawing & Layout Numbers in the current objects are almost identical to those Rob fixed earlier in this thread .. so hoping someone may have developed a better understanding of them than I
