Hi, can anyone tell me why my custom object will display fine in plan view but not at all in elevations or 3D view? I have tried messing with the layers and other likely culprits.
I have also tried to open this specific object in a new file and it does the same thing. I have similar objects that I have made at the same time that are fine to use so I don't know why this one is behaving this way. I have used this object hundreds of times in the past and this is the first time it's done this. I have recently updated from Archicad 25 to Archicad 26, apart from that nothing has changed. Thanks

You talk about objects but you have labelled your post with 'Complex Profiles'.
Which is it, a GDL object or a complex profile?
Barry.

Hi Barry, it is a GDL. Thanks

I have changed your post label to 'Other' for now until I can get 'Objects' added (even though it shows in the label list it is not available hen posting).
So exactly the same object works in 25 but not 26?
All I can think of is a renovation filter in 3D that is different to what you have set in plan.
I assume other object display in 3D just fine?
Barry.

Yes, the same object works in 25 but not in 26 (3D or elevations) it works in 2D floor plan. Yes the other objects that are similar to this one work fine in 2D and 3D.

OK, so is the renovation status of the object that does not work, the same as for one that does?
Barry.

yep, same renovation status for both objects.

If you open a AC25 file containing the object in AC26, does the 3D disappear?

Yes, it does disappear. But this particular file was created in AC26.

So it can't be the same object working in 25 if you created it in 26.
I am assuming you have done something differently when creating it in 26.
Did you model it a project zero height?
Barry.
