I have managed to make some new parameters so I can edit the text just want to be able to move it around.
Any help much appreciated.

You need to add some editable hotspots - one for the x position and one for the y position.
Then you use those co-ordinates to place your text object.
This will give you a stretchy hotspot in plan allowing you to move the text around.
See if this info from GDL Center helps.
In particular you want the example for ... “pointDistX” and “pointDistY”.
