Annoying hotspot message in AC11

I am using a converted AC10 plan file with D3 SmartPart Doors/Windows.

When I open one for editing, I get a warning message "There are several (1) hotspots with same unique ID in the library part: D02 Swing" for example.

This is driving me nuts. How do I get this to stop? TIA-

It's going to take either some custom GDL work on your part of a fix from DDGI.

There are stretchable hotspots with a bug in them. AC10 was more forgiving.

As Thom said.

This error message is actually a good thing - because it helps a developer locate incorrectly programmed hotspots. But, for legacy files/parts, it sounds like a pain!

Have you tried going to Work Environment > User Preferences Schemes > Imaging and Calculation and removing the check from "Interrupt with error message"? Does that help here?

Actually, THAT doesn't help. But unchecking "Write Report" makes the warning message go away. However, it does seem to slow down the opening of the main DBX. So thanks, Karl, for at least steering me to the right area to play around with check boxes.

That was going to be my next suggestion. 😉 Thanks for posting the resolution for others. Of course, since that setting is part of your WE, it affects all projects, not just this one (as preferences do)...and so important errors might be missed in other files...

Ideally, DG will release updates (do contact them) and you can re-enable error reporting.

I've never been bother with unique hotspot ID... at least by now... In AC10 I always made all the hotposts with the same ID (1) and there was no message in the edit mode...

Is it an AC11 "New Feature"

Is it an AC11 "New Feature"
I had a mail exchange with GS about the IDs, because I thought the ID would allow to associate dimension strings to certain hotspots of an object independant of their appearance/order in the script. They tod me, that the ID is only used for exact identifying the hotspots in s/e window. But that the IDs are needed there. So no new feature, but a new help for programmers to check if the IDs are unique.
