I don't understand why GS can't add the option of a "in between" structure in a DW-assembly. We use it very often in residential, schools, offices, hospitals etc...
Is it always going to be the same size?
If so I would just model it with slabs to look exactly as you want then save as a door object.
Adjust the 2D view and your done.

Have you looked at using the curtain wall tool? If it does the job you should find it easier to update any changes.

Looking for something to allow me to make an object like attach. It must be one object that displays correctly in plan and 3D. It's for a large hospital building so no manual fiddle with combining a door, a window and somethin in between.

I have one issue left and it is the alignment of the sandwich panel in the middle part. There is a small offset and I can't figure out where to adjust it. Any hints avail?Mats_Knutsson wrote:This object will do that pretty easily
