Can't find the files for duplicate library parts - not LCF

I have been working on cleaning up my library today, specifically getting rid of duplicates in the various libraries, but there are some duplicates listed that I can't find files for at all, and some where I can only locate one file. And none of the libraries showing duplicates are Library Container Files - they are all just in folders, so I am able to search them, and I am searching in the folders themselves (as opposed to whole computer/network searches, although I have tried that too). So can anyone suggest why I might not be able to see these files? I have turned on hidden file visibility as well. Let me know if you need any more information or screen shots.

Well it's all sorted now - no duplicates in my libraries.

It turns out there was a library container file within my library, although I was sure I did a search for '*.lcf' before posting this. And you were right Laszlo, they were mostly interface images (all the ui_... files). But the LCF wasn't the only problem, and I have learnt a lot from this, so thank you for your help.

Why don't you try Duplicate Files Deleter? It will do a thorough search of your hard disk and find out the two or more duplicate files of the same file which may be stored at different locations. It will give you a comprehensive list of all those files and you can decide for yourself what you want to do with them. It's easy to use. Hope it will help you.
