Contour Lines On Basic 3D Elements

Hi All,
Is there any way you can turn off the contour lines on basic 3D elements (such as brick, block, cylind, etc)

Is there some global variable I can change before the block command, which controls status codes?

I know it is easy to change the status code in more advanced 3D elements (such as cprism, sprism,etc)
