Is there a way to clean up the elevation and section views of custom library parts? We use a lot of objects provided by the companies of plumbing fixtures and appliances. When I create a new object I can clean up the plan view, but the 3d elevation/section view is always a mess with way too many lines. Is there anyway to clean this up, like I can do to the plan?

You would need to optimise or rebuild the 3D, so not really... A lot of these manufacturer objects are also just Revit or 3ds conversions, so are just lots of VERT commands which are impossible to work with...

As Ling said, you need to optimise the 3D script - which is not easy to do.
However you can convert the object to a Morph.
Edit hide lines, reduce polygons, etc.
Then re-save as an object.
Still not always easy to do, but it is free.
If you want to pay for something that might help, then look at Modelport ... https://archvista.com/modelport/
I can't say if it is any good as I don't use it.
You can download a free demo.
