Cutting a Hole in a Slab

Is it possible to cut a hole in a slab, similar to the way a door/window cuts a hole in a wall?

I am trying to make a recessed object cut a hole into the ceiling slab which it is placed.

Thanks for the help.

Do you mean a "slab hole" GDL command?

Yes, exactly.

You can cut a hole in the slab, using the basic slab pet palette then place an object into the opening, but there is no "slab opening" or "floor window" tool

Is there a GDL command to cut a hole in a slab? Similar to WALLNICHE or WALLHOLE?

Nope.

try Solid element operations if you want your hole to follow your object around.

If I were in your situation I would do this:
Instead of using a slab, I would use a plane roof to built the ceiling... and then modify a skylight object... Maybe the wallhole command works in this object... Just a hint...

Yes, but…
Use the roof tool (0 degrees) and add a skylight type object

Sorry didnt read Brazza's post
