Door and Window Frame to Match wall depth?

Hello,

I have checked the available documentation and can't seem to find where one may set a window and/or door frame depth to match a wall depth. This command or setting was mentioned in another topic on this forum.

Seiss, Thank you for the 12-ste.... I mean 11-step program. I too wave found the SE lib very time consuming. I almost never use Brick Anywhere, but I was using similar settings for my Wood trimmed Windows. Except for Step 10. Using these step I was able to get a 1/2 Round Window to display without Errors, but the same setting cause a "Polygon is degenerated" Warning with the W1 Casement SE9. (See Attachment)Other than the constraint Warnings the window looks pretty good.

1. I am using a non-composite wall.
2. Select the window settings dialog between the Parameter and Floor Plan tabs.
3. Set the wall type to "Stud Wall".
4. Set "Casing Out" and "Sill Out".
5. Go to the "Casing" tab and set it to "Custom"; set "Custom" to to 3.5" for an Exterior Wood Trim & 2.5" for an Interior Wood Trim.
6. Set the dialog box below "Custom" to 0.75" thick for wood thickness.
7. Go to the "Sill" tab and set Exterior "Casing" to 3.5" for top to match sides and the INterior to 2.5" likewise.
8. Leave "Bottom Frame @ Sill" unchecked.
9. Set the sill width to 3.5" to match the Exterior trim.
9b. Set Stool And Apron as desired
10. Set the box below that to "Off" to eliminate the Brick M. Width Bottom Values. (?)
11. Set the sill extension to 0.75" to replicate the trim Thickness

Exterior trim view at lower left corner of W! Casement

Sometimes the Side trim is extended lower than the Bottom trim, but not often. And in all cases, unless mitered, the Side trim at least runs to the Bottom of the bottom trim. Not the Bottom trim running through to the side trim.

Also Wall hole seems to be cut wider than Exterior side trim.

Same Exterior problem with the W Half Round Fix SE9.

I can live with this one the Warning about Polygon..... only happens the first time it is viewed in 3D window.

Side Note-

Once I started this experiment, I began having a problem with the display. This has happened only a few other times.

I lose the "rubber-band" view in plan. say when stretching or dragging something. (Don't really know how else to say this.)
and in the 3D window I get (See attached)

For all those still following here is a screen shot of the Standard AC 9 W1 Casement window. this window does not report any Polygon Degeneration, but the bottom corner is not exactly correct though either.

With this window the bottom trim is "cut" a bit short.

Dear Posters,

First of all thank you for reporting these SE library problems. I'd like to reply to each comments in this forum although I may not be able to answer them all today. I'll go backwards with your posts

Currently we are working on the AC10 library so those issue that turn to be real bugs will be corrected in the next AC version.

I tried to reproduce this problem with the latest (AC10 beta) library but I couldn't . We have made some bug fixes lately so maybe this issue has already been correctedt. Just to make sure can you send me a sample file (with just one wall and one window)?

The bottom overhang of the side trim can be adjusted on the casing tab page with the "Casing trim bottom overhang parameter". Do you use this option? Also note that for the brick molding you can set negative or positive offset on the very same tab page.

This has been fixed in the latest version.

Again I can't reproduce the error message in the AC10 version however I have found an other bug with the bottom brick moulding (that will be fixed). I'd appreciate if you could place a copy of this bugy half round window in the sample file which I asked for in my previous mail.
