Electrical switch object shows oversized “SSSS” symbols in Floor Plan – how to control or replace 2D

Hi everyone,

I’m using the default Electrical Switch (Switch US) object,  works perfectly in 3D and placement logic, but I’m struggling with its 2D Floor Plan representation.

The issue

In Floor Plan view, the switch displays large “SSSS” text symbols, which are very distracting and overpower the drawing.

  • The symbols are much larger than other annotations

  • There seems to be no obvious control to:

    • scale them down

    • replace them with a simpler symbol

    • or switch to a minimal sign / dot style

What I want to achieve

  1. A smaller, cleaner switch symbol in plan

  2. The ability to replace the “SSSS” text with a simple graphic mark

Operating system used: Windows 11

bimerbioboi:

You can change the size of the Object to resize the symbol. In the upper pane, lower left corner, change 496.9 to a smaller number; this controls the length of the line through the "S", reducing it also reduces the size of the "S".

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
