Extract .libpack

maybe this needs to be a wishlist item, but how do we extract/open a .libpack? It seems that the extract library function in archicad is still only limited to .lcf, even though archicad is 2 versions removed from .lcf libraries. Am I missing something?

ok, for those interested, there is a way... via the edit gdl library parts tool bar. It was not added to the file > library menu options though... so #wishlist ?

It should be there already if you are using a default Work Environment.

It won't be in the menus if you are using an old WE.

I definitely rebuild my work environment every time a new version of archicad comes out... but I will double check this.

@Barry Kelly this is with the AC 29 default "architectural profile 29" w/e applied. Not using my custom w/e, and still do not see "extract library package" as shown in your drop down.
Either you have a different OOTB w/e, or you have a custom w/e that you added this command to.
Alos, the "extract container" option you have highlighted is limited to .lcf; the "extract library package" option should be the one to use; but I do not have that in my work environment, or the out of the box 29 w/e's.

I wish there was a "migrate work environment" assistant... to apply all key board shortcuts and custom tool bars, and add new tools/features where applicable. But it is what it is... rebuilding the w/e with each release always gives me the chance to revisit my shortcut list, my tool bars, look at new features, and find areas to improve efficiency

It could be the language version.

I have the AUS language and template.

I am pretty sure the default WEs are saved in the program and not the template.

Templates can be downloaded from the Graphisoft website, but I don't think that will help.

You would need to download and install a different language version, but it will be easier to just add the commands to your own WE.

I was definitely loading the default AUS template and using the default WE.

My custom template and WE were not loaded.

Sorry I highlighted the wrong command, it should have been the one below.

Fortunately it is possible to add these commands to your own custom menus and toolbars.
