Eyedropper (Parameter transfer) AC 11

Is there a way to lock out a trace reference layer from the eyedropper? I'm using an imported Autocad drawing as trace reference, and I keep on accidentally selecting the ACAD file on the trace reference layer, when I'm trying to grab a door or wall.
