GDL SYMBOL

I downloaded a GDL object for archicad, but when I use it in my project, instead of it's symbol, it appears like a plan view with all its vector lines..

how do I edit the gdl object in order to make a new and simple symbol appear instead?

After selecting the Object go File -> Libraries and Objects -> Open Object.

Click on 2D Symbol button and draw and/or erase.

There are two places to draw.. "2d symbol (yellow)" and "2d symbol complete view (red)"..

in the red one i cant draw a thing..

so i drew it in the yellow one but how do i save it or change it so the "yellow" symbol would replace the "red" one
