How can i add transom to w ribbon 10 windows?

Hello!

I am trying to build a series of window obects (or rather modify existing ones) to represent these windows.

I need fixed base with top hung awning BUT 3 ribboned or up to 4 at times..
As well as the opposite Fixed top with top hung transom..

I just can't seem to get it as one window with 3 horizontal sections.. and have bought a bunch of promising 'window building objects' that I fail to get work and only just end up with a bunch of code errors.

Any ideas or suggestions? : )

Chrissy,
An AC 11 object cannot be used in AC 10.
An object saved in a later version cannot be opened or used
in an earlier version. You get an "Unknown Version" error.

Looks like it might be time to upgrade then.. I wonder if the is a version 12 on the cards for next year..

Thank you for all your help and advice guys - your passion gives me determination to not hold up that white flag just yet!

The AC11 version of the window is a single unit, but it does have the ability to "gang" with others. Do you need the window to be 3-bays because the actual unit that you are specifying is a 3-bay unit? If not, the "ganging" option should work.

I looked at the code of the object. It seems to be using AC10 macros, so the AC10 version that you received from Peter probably has the same options.

If you still want it, I can send it to you.

Hello David,
wow - i was just about to purchase the upgrade to 11!
People have already kindly sent me the object but as Peter wisely mentioned - and i quickly realised; AC 11 Objects can't be used in AC10.
It is sad to discover that the AC11 Magical window object will not solve my problems on this project..
I noticed the ganging function.. i will do more research into it - it must be the key to my solution..
Thank you for every ones time on this, it is very humbling!

See this is an example of another typical set up I am looking to replicate..

<frame>awning<frame>awning<frame>
<frame>window<frame>window<frame>

but because i am using individual window objects rather than ribboned i get:

<frame>awning<frame><frame>awning<frame>
<frame>window<frame><frame>window<frame>

Does Ganging correct this in AC11 cause i don't seem to be able to in AC10.
