Have tried pasting, dragging, and anything else, it shows sometimes, then when opening the Lighting Schedule, it isn't there.

The Preview Picture is part of the library part. To change it, open the library part (Open Object... command), click on the Preview Picture button near the bottom left corner of the main Library Part window, and paste your desired image (128x128 pixels) into the Preview Picture window, then save the library part.

Tried this, but no success. could it be because I have used a beam to simulate the track of "track Lighting", then used an ArchiCAD 16 library part "recessed light" for the "Source Four" Theater light? Am trying to load/use the "Source Four.jpg instead of the view I have which looks like track lighting...ArchiCAD does not want me to do this. How do I fool the program into what I want.

The use of a beam would not have any effect. Make sure you are trying to paste to the correct place. You need to click on the preview panel (see the image). This will open a window where you can paste in the image that you want to see.

If you have done this and are still having issues, try doing a "Save As" to see if that helps.
