Invalid Parameters

Went to inset fireplace and was successful but instead of seeing the plan of the Fireplace I see a note "Invalid Parameters". What does this mean, because I was still able to see and manipulate the Fireplace in the model window and its settings window?

It is possible that you are editing your object in the wrong spot.

Were you editing the obejct in the object editor window or were you manipulating parameters of an inserted instance of this object from the object dialog box.

If the former, you may have been looing at the 2D view window which would display this piece of text. Its not where you should be working.

If the latter, there must be one of the paranmeters that is set wrong. The invalid parametr flag shows up on parts that have soem error checking built into their scripts.

Attached is a picture of the object editor. Editing parameters simply changes what the default values should be. You need to edit in inserted instance of the part.

Hope this helps.

Somehow you have managed to set one or more parameters to an impossible value, a value that can not be divided or multiplied with the rest of the settings for the fireplace. Check your settings and see if there is an odd figure.

Another way of going around it to see if there really is something wrong with the lib. part or if you have managed to set values oddly - do a "New & Reset" and try to place the fireplace again with it's default values. This way you might be able to find the source of the error message.
