I'm managing an office with many Workplaces, and we are exploring the possibility of modifying the default values of library parts by editing the mapping values in JSON files. I have a couple of questions for which I couldn't find documentation.
- The concept of editing default values is beneficial, but for larger architecture practices, it's essential to have the ability to deploy the updated JSON mapping values across the entire practice. Is there a procedure to achieve this? or can the Mapping Values be hosted in the BIMcloud to allow everybody in the practice to get them from there? This will be necessary every time a library update is published.
- It would be very practical to receive, with each update, the complete JSON file including all modifications since version 0. Currently, I can only download the modifications to the previous version, and if I start now, I need to apply all modifications since version 0 instead of simply replacing the mapping values with the new mapping values of the latest version. Is such a JSON file available for download on the Graphisoft website, or do we have to create it ourselves each time? What will happen in a few years when the libraries have many updates and someone is just starting with Archicad?
