Lamps: direction of light problem

The lamps in my Archicad 10 library shine in a vertical direction since they are mostly ceiling fixtures. IS this what you mean or do you really mean all your lamps shine sideways?
Other options exist. For instance, the "Spotlamp Ceiling 10" has rotation around two axes available.
Certainly you are right that the lamps do not have the best directionality, but since a point light source like is in the Wall Lamp 05 radiates in all directions, is this a problem?
Adding an easily aimed light source as you do is a great solution to lamp rigidity.
