Libraries compatibility with Architectural Desktop

Hi!
I've got a question, which I was unable to find Googling around. I wonder whether libraries created for use in AchiCAD are compatible with ADT (architectural desktop)?
Thanks a lot beforehand!

You can always export the libraries as 2D objects.

There used to be a GDL adaptor that allowed AutoCAD (and ADT) to read Archicad objects, but I'm not sure if it's still around. I thought that Graphisoft had stopped supporting it.

In order to share 2D and 3D archiCAD libraries, you must have an Object ARX enabled version of ADT (does such a thing exist?). If this is what you have, the object adapter can still be found on many manufacturer web sites such as the ones listed at http://www.archicad.lap.hu/ (bottom left hand corner of the page).

If you don't have this, then you'll need ADT's 3rd party plug in for IFC and transfer the library objects that way.

For the first option, in the ArchiCAD translator, there is an option at the bottom to send ArchiCAD 'blocks' as GOA objects. This refers to using the Object adapter plug in referred to above.

My understanding is that the Object Adapter was effectively neutered when Autodesk dropped Object ARX.
