Library not loading

Hi I'm having real problems loading a library other than the default one. I have loaded it using Library Manager but it won't show when I go to place the object.

Any ideas?

Uisng Mac OS 10.3.4 and AC9 2018 INT FULL

Really need to load this angled column so this job can go out to a client.. Does the OS need to be updated?

What is the name of the part? Does it have a .gsm file extension? If not try giving it one. Or just try dragging and dropping it from your OS onto your floor plan.

We need just a little more info....

yes, it has a GSM extension. When I try and browse for the object manually it's greyed out..

just tried dragging and dropping

"Drag and drop action did not suceed

Either the dropped object is invalid, or the web plug-in version is outdated."

I can open the object but archiCAD is refusing to let me load any other libraries.

What's the name of it? Can you zip it up and upload it?

I've just realised that it defaulted to a Door type. Been stupid. BUT this has presented another problem.

I'm trying get a round column on a slight angle. The way I would have done this before would be to create a column / or circular slab and then tilt it whilst looking from the top in the 3D view - save as object then place that in.

is there another way to rotate it slightly? Do I edit the GDL script?

Yes, but none as easy as what you are doing. You need to do a search in ArchiCAD Help for ROT X and ROT Y and similar odd-named commands that make up the wonderful GDL dictionary.

Good luck with your door.

ROTY -3?

Sorry but I've never used GDL before
