We have a project that has been ongoing for several months now. Just recently almost all instances of one particular light have disappeared. The light in question is Flouresence Recessed 01 11. It appears as dots on the RCP as if the part is missing. The part however does not appear on the library loading report as missing. The is however, in the info box under Missing Library Parts a lamp that has no name, just a blank. The blank lamp also appears in the F&S by name dialog but selecting the blank name gives you no items.
This may have popped up after the file was translated to a DWG for a consultant. According to the user on the project, after there was a translation, there were actually 2 missing dots at each location, he deleted one of each, reloaded libraries and the one set showed back up, but now those are missing as well.
On a probably related front, this file has had issues for sometime, from frequent crashes, to zone names function differently before and after saves, etc. It has been a solo to a teamwork, to a solo to a teamwork and back to a solo in efforts to stem the problems, which have been short term fixes. It seems like the file is corrupted but in different ways every time. I have not tried to merge it into a new file to try and fix the corruption as the users on this project have not always followed the office standards, so losing all their custom views would be a nightmare to recreate.
