Is there a way of adding an external link to properties of an object or wall which allows the user to see a photo or pdf of the view/object in reality.
I am working on a listed building, there are numerous locations within the model where photographs need to be seen to understand how the walls/door/windows actually look. Ideally there would be an option which allowed the user to click on the window say, and be able to click a link to a photograph saved either within archicad (worksheet potentially) or externally to a file on the computer or server.
Hopefully this makes some sense, I look forward to hearing any ideas or theories you have.
Chris

Hi Chris,
The easiest option would be to place each photo on an independent worksheet, then use a linked worksheet marker placed on the floorplan to link back to it.
Masterscript do a nice little marker for this -http://www.masterscript.nl/labels-and-markers/45-camera-marker.html
This should also work in any multipage pdfs produced if the photos are included in the package. These articles by Jared/Shoegnome explain it better -http://blog.graphisoftus.com/?s=hyperlinks+and+ArchiCAD+Part

Peter,
Many thanks for your assistance - I have the images added to a worksheet linked with markers. Both links were very interesting reading - thanks a lot - there are so many hidden feature to archicad, incredible program!
I don't suppose you know any good quantity take off, costings forums. Need to do some simple calculations of the cost of walls. I have a scheduled out the walls and have got cost data on a excel spreadsheet. Can you do simple sums in archicad schedules?
Many thanks
