Mark Up Tools, Unable to Add Corrections

I'm not able to add corrections in the mark up tools. I select the object and click on add corrections, but no matter how many times I click on it, it doesn't add it;) The number indicator just above it says "0". I'm not sure how I can start to troubleshoot this?
