Missing Library Parts - from xxx- Object Library 9

Hello,

I am working on a project that was sent to me as a reference set of plans
I'm modifying the set that was sent to me, and I’m receiving an error message
Warning:29 (232)
Missing Library Parts
from xxx-Object Library 9
Then there is a list of missing items.
Many of the normal doors and windows are also showing missing parts?

Is there a resolution to this?
Many thanks for any help!

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Sequoia 15.0.0

'xxx-ObjectLibrary 9' is not a standard library - it sounds like one made up in an office.

If you don't know where to find this library and then load it, then you will just have to replace the missing objects with something else.

As for the doors and windows, if this file is very old (from version 9), then the doors and widows have changed a lot since then and are probably no longer compatible.

You could try loading the 'Archicad Migration Libraries' which will get you back to version 17, and also the 'Old Archicad Migration Libraries' which will get you back to version 10.

That should mean that standard Graphisoft objects from version 9 will migrate, unless they have been made 'obsolete' along the way.

Thank you Barry!

My issue is that I do not know how to replace the objects with something else?

I would even be willing to delete all the missing objects (but I am unsure of how to do that as well?) and rebuild the drawing with new library objects.

The missing object appear to be corrupting the "doors and windows" that I mentioned before.

The missing Library appears to be a PC file as well and I am using Mac.

If I could just remove the Missing Library Parts - I think I could make progress.

PC or Mac, the library parts work on both.

If you can ever track down the original library folder, you just need to load it as an additional linked library.

The missing objects (and doors and windows) will show up as a black (pen 1) dot on the plan.

Select it and you should see it's name.

Delete it or swap it for what you think is a similar object in your currently loaded library.

It was the archicad 9 library
You can get it by installing archicad 9 converter

Yves, Thank you !

I see a note stating:

  • "The Archicad "9 converter package cannot be run on macOS X 10.7 and newer"

Im using Mac Apple Silicon Sequoia 15.0.0. - I attempted it anyway with no success 😞

Old program versions can't be run on new Mac operating systems.

But as it is just a ZIP file. you can extract it and you should find the library in the folder.

I was able to find the xxx-Object Library 9 file and I just happened to drag it into the "Libraries in Project" tab.

I migrated it and it removed all of the missing files! You have helped me a great deal - many thanks!

I only now have Warning of 427 (0) Duplicated library files.

I can see Library 9 duplicated files in the Library Manager, but with no option to delete.

Any suggestions

I think because you have loaded the original version 9 library as well as the later migration libraries, you are getting these duplicates.

If there is a version 9 migration library to use instead then maybe you would not have these duplicates.

The migration libraries only contain what is needed and not all objects and image files.

I would not load the 9 library and I would replace any missing objects with a new object.

The old objects may not work so well anyway.

Best to get rid of them if you can.

But if you select the duplicated file on the right hand side of the Library Manager, you should be able to delete it.

It might take a while to work you way through deleting 427 files though.

Be careful not to delete anything that is not in the duplicated list.

Thank you again Barry!  My only issue is that the delete "X" is not an option when I highlight the file.

Im going to contact Tech Support and see if they can help.

Many thanks!
