New (not BIM) server, same libraries

Hi all.

Converting our libraries' server (not a BIM server yet) from Server1 to Server2.
All files in the same places, relatively, but new server name.

Is there a quicker way to make the transition than manually re-linking all the libraries of all our active projects?
I'd love a command-line trick or two...

If you were on Windows you could just match the network drive mapping. On Mac I'm not so sure. Is there a reason you can't just name the new server the same as the old?

Matthew, I thought of that -we'd just "trick" all the applications (AC included) into thinking the same machine were there.

But we had a transition period in which we needed both machines active and on the network together. Probably could've thought my way out of that, too, but i didn't.

So, we're manually re-linking libraries. Not a tragedy, just a stutter at the start of each opening of a project that hasn't been updated. We're a small shop, so our Active list is 10-20, not 100-200, so it's not so bad...

thanks, all!
