Pen is less than 1

Just something I am curious about and isn't that big of a deal but why do pens allow you to set them as transparent or 0 or -1 but then throw up an error saying that the pen is at less than 1?

Background pens can have this value. That is why you can set it as a parameter.

That's why you have to make sure that foreground pens can't be set to anything "unhealthy":

if certain_pen < 1 then
    parameters certain_pen = 1
endif
