Pocket Doors offset?

I can't seem to figure out how to offset a pocket door so that its cavity is actually in the center of the wall, AND the casing is the way I want it.

Unless I have a reveal chosen, the offset option is greyed out. When I try to offset with a reveal, the casings and wall get all funny. (202, 203)

Am I missing the offset option somewhere?

Thanks...

I had problems figuring this out too... what I finally did was turn floor plan symbol>detailed>all hotspots on and did some measuring (can't snap to everything you want but get close) What I discovered was that with the offset placement selected (center icon above offset dimension) the offset is from the outside of the door frame to the edge of the pocket. (This case is 4 7/8" wall with 1 3/8" door)
...and depending on the door thickness the pocket width varies...... so it just like the old days you have to get out the pencil and figure it all out to get the offset dimension.

I guess I meant "center" as a relative term. Once I know how far I want to offset it, I can't do anything with the info.

The Reveal distance/ offset dimension input option in the topmost area of the door settings box is greyed out and doesn't let me input a dimension.

The problem is, either my door is on the outer edge of the wall (201), or the reveal function allowing the offset screws up my casings (202-204).

Your picture looks like what I'm after tho.... Does this have anything to do with your v10 door? Is the casing vs reveal funkiness some sort of v12 buggy thing? Or am I lacking finesse with the parametric settings?

Could well be a 12 thingy...my copy is still hung up in customs (so says my vendor). The only other thing I could think to check would make sure the wall geometry is correct for wall type used...????? or try in a very simple test wall (no composites, trapazoid etc.) to see how that does with other than turning on detailed, hot spots, and (trying) to set offset, leaving the other settings default.

Jocelyn,
What you show for AC12 doors is right but not correct. Use the sliding doors in the AC11 migration library; they work as they should and as Dave shows.
