Custom Poket doors

How is everyone doing custom pocket doors? IE more than just single/double panel pocketing doors. I have plenty of clients who use cadimage, and it works great. But there are a lot of firms that use 90% off the shelf products, and have almost no need for a custom component.
I just gave the cringe inducing advice to a guy who asked how to make a 3 panel pcoket door, to use the 3 panel sliding door, and draft the pocket with a fill.
Whats the trick?

I made my own using the GS macros, which is now broken in AC28+... have not fixed it as I ran into Wallhole issues so I have just been using the same workaround as you provided since...
