!Restored: Writing text files on ftp-sites

Does anybody know:
Is it possible to write text files with the GDL DATA Addon or the GDL TEXT Addon on Webservers (ftp.mydomain.com/newfile.txt)?
I have tried it, but it did not work; maybe I used the wrong path naming.

I wonder if it is possible to substitute a drive letter for an ftp address (something like Z:\ for ftp://ftp.blabla.com/)
and then you could write your file to Z:\ in GDL, and the operating system would do the rest.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
