Roof Label

If anyone can find the time, have a look at this label - it works in the plan
window and differently in the elevation window -- however I cannot get it
to sense the direction of the roof plane -- I have put in a flip command but
think it would be much handier if it could sense the correct direction.

Any ideas or advice ????

Hello RandyC

Please see attached file, let me know if this meet your wishes.
I've moved your script on the interface script. Now it's the same representation on both floor plan and elevation, you can manage from now if you need them diff. Also you can see an example for hotspot.
Sincerely,
Daniel

Cosminn - thanks for looking at my script however I think you misunderstood
my request - I am happy with the way it works in the plan view window -
it gives me roof direction (arrow) , area and slope as desired.

Having it automatically "flip" in the elevation window is what I would like the
label to do - but cannot find a command that performs this.

I have however saved a right and left version in favorites for quick annotation of roof slopes - still would be better if could sense the roof direction.

Thanks, Randy

"Having it automatically "flip" in the elevation window is what I would like the label to do - but cannot find a command that performs this"

I've focused on that. That's why I said you can manage again your script, in order to have one representation on the floorplan, and that triangle in elevation.

So, what I am trying to say, is: please let me know if that label I've attached for you is working fine for elevations[not for floor plan view].

Thank you, sometimes my English level create missunderstandings.

Here is a section showing its behavior in elevation window --
doesn't appear to flip the label

Hi, sorry for late reply.

Is that a multi Plane Roof?

If yes, then agree with you, will not work. If you split that roof into single plane roofs. then should work.

Daniel

Sorry , not a multi plane roof

- could it be that it will work as a library part
but not as a Label?

You are right RandyC. My Bad.

It's not working. I think I was in Hurry. Will think on this, good post.

I've done something like this using the accessories tool. Roof accessories. There you can read the roof position and it's working.

When you have Time, I can share my screen with you and leting you know how that works.

Please get a hold of me on skype

daniel.virtic it's my skype address.
