Skylight curbs

I've worked around this issue for years, and today I finally decided I would address it.

It appears to me that the skylight tool does not handle curbs correctly. The tool seems to create an opening in the roof that INCLUDES the curb width dimension, but this is counter-intuitive. 

Am I missing something? Please advise.

I wrote my own basic skylight because of that.  Then again my entire library is custom because of the failure that is most Archicad objects..

I'm happy to say that this is an existing wish in our Wish list database.
