Staircase Balustrade

Anonymous
Not applicable
I want a wooden balustrade on my staircase, but the only style available is extremely unpleasing, I went through all the parameters but couldn't find one that changes the style of the balustrade. Did I miss anything, or am I stuck with this ugly balustrade .

Also, the staircase opening is in the middle of my second floor, there should be railings surrounding it. I want those railings to be connected to the railings on my staircase, making a graceful and realistic stairway. How can I achieve this? Thanks.

The stair objects and stairs created by Stairmaker (which are you using?) have limited railing options - more with Stairmaker than with the built-in-stairs, though.

Also, they do not support continuous railings to landings, mezanines, etc - you have to model the landing railing object separately and do tricks to get them to join (Morph, etc). This is a relatively common question, and there are other threads here - but I couldn't find one quickly with a good workaround tutorial for you.

ArchiStair, part of Cigraph's ArchiSuite tools, lets you create custom railings, and lets them continue onto custom landings/etc as you wish:

I believe that Cadimage's Stair add-on lets you do the same:

Thanks so much, I got the stair tool from the ArchiSuite 17 add-on. So far you've managed solved all my problems, I got to pay tribute to your extensive knowledge It probably takes a lot of time to collect doesn't it?
