The stair has settings as to how many treads will be hidden or visible.
You can control the line type (solid, dashed) for each portion and you can also set if the hidden and/or visible section will be seen on the current storey, the storey above, the storey below, etc.
So from the storey above the stair you can set the top treads to be visible (solid), and the lower treads to be hidden (dashed). You can even turn off the visibility of the hidden portion in the storey above so only the visible part will be seen.
You can also adjust the position and angle of the break line.
But possibly an easier solution is to simply add a solid white cover fill to the upper slab.
